Multi-Factor setup and Authorisation

1. Before you begin, you will need to download install the Microsoft authenticator app for Windows Phone, Android or iOS.

2. Once MFA has been turned on for your email account, you will need to log on to office 365’s Multi-Factor Security webpage.  (https://aka.ms/mfasetup)

3. From there click the sign in.
   

4. Enter in your Email address and then your password. After you put in your password and sign in, you will get a new screen asking for more information.
   

5. After you click on next, it will bring you to a how to contact for MFA.
   

6. Change the authentication to Mobile App, and choose Use Verification Code.
   

7. After clicking “Set up” it will go to a configure Mobile App.  If you want to use the Windows Authenticator, you can follow the steps on the screen below.  If you want to use any other authenticator (Google Authenticator, IPhone Authenticator, etc.) Click on the blue “Configure App without notifications”
   

8. On your phone click the add new code, (Usually a Plus sign), And then scan a QR code, and scan the code on the computer.
   

9. Once the code now shows up on your computer, put the code into the computer to verify you have set it up properly and you should now be good to go.
   

10. Next time you sign into your office Account you should be asked to resign in, and provide your code.

Sign in to Office

For Office apps installed on a Windows PC:   

1. If you're not already in an Office file or document, open an app such as Word or Excel, and open an existing file, or create a new one.

2. Select File > Account (or Office Account if you're using Outlook). If you're not already signed in, click Sign In.

3. In the Sign in window, type the email address and password you use with Office. This might be the personal Microsoft account you associated with Office, or the username and password you use with your work or school account.

For Office apps installed on an Android or Chromebooks:   

1. Open the Office app. On the Recent screen, tap Sign In.

2. On the Sign In screen, type the email address and password you use with Office. This might be the personal Microsoft account you associated with Office, or the username and password you use with your work or school account.

For Office apps installed on an iPhones and iPads:   

1. Open the Office app. On the Account screen, tap Sign In.

2. On the Sign In screen, type the email address and password you use with Office. This might be the personal Microsoft account you associated with Office, or the username and password you use with your work or school account.

Re-activate O365 Windows Applications

When Office becomes unlicensed, all editing features of Office are disabled. Office can become unlicensed for a number of reasons. For example, if your Office 365 subscription expires, you must renew your subscription to restore all features of Office. 

The reactive, simply click on the reactive button (shown above), and you will see a screen similar to the below;

Simply sign in with your email address and password, and office will reactivate for you automatically.

How to avoid Phishing Emails

Phishing emails are emails sent to you or to your business to gain access to your data or to trick money out of your company (or clients).

These emails are Frauds, scheming and scams – attackers commonly target unsuspecting email accounts hoping to make a quick buck, hijack bank details, find passwords, and all kinds of private information.
